Privacy — Quebec residents (Law 25)

Olelisse is a business established in Quebec. This page supplements our Privacy Policy with the rights and obligations that apply under the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.

Your additional rights as a Quebec resident

• Access and correction. You may ask what personal information we hold about you, obtain a copy, and have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected.
• Portability. You may ask to receive the computerised personal information you gave us in a structured, commonly used technological format.
• Withdrawal of consent. You may withdraw your consent to any use of your personal information that is not necessary to complete an order.
• De-indexing. You may ask us to stop disseminating your personal information, or to de-index a hyperlink attached to your name, where dissemination contravenes the law or a court order.
• Automated decisions. If a decision affecting you is ever based exclusively on automated processing, you may ask to be informed of it and to submit observations to a person able to review it.

Cookies and profiling technologies

We distinguish two categories.

Strictly necessary — cookies that keep your cart, your session and the checkout working. The store cannot function without them, and they are used without consent.

Non-essential — analytics, advertising pixels and social tracking. These can identify, locate or profile you. Under section 8.1 of Law 25, they are deactivated by default and used only after you have been informed and have consented. You may withdraw that consent at any time.

Where your information is stored

Our store runs on Shopify. Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside Quebec, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to that country’s courts and authorities. We require contractual safeguards from each provider.

If you are not satisfied

Contact us first — we would rather fix it directly. If our response does not satisfy you, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, or with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
